• The works were carried out with the main
contractor Wates Construction Ltd and comprised of additional classrooms
and music rooms adjoining the existing complex.
• The existing boiler plant and controls were enhanced to provide
low temperature hot water to the new classrooms and music rooms. The music
rooms being heated via ceiling mounted radiant panels.
• Passive ventilation was installed to the various classrooms
that have electrically operated inlet/outlet grilles. These were controlled
locally via a three-position switch.
• Lighting within the classroom is controlled via ceiling mounted
infra red occupancy lenses which ensure that the lighting switches off when
the areas are vacant. |
